When you follow the signs to Caminito del Rey from Ardales, you will pass several places where you can enjoy direct access to the water. Close to the main road, you will find quiet coves where you can park your car almost right next to the shoreline. The terrain here is flat, and the water remains relatively shallow for quite a distance. This makes these spots especially popular with families with young children. <\/p>\n
As you continue deeper into the natural park, the scenery becomes even more beautiful. You will pass pine forests, small beaches, and several recreational areas where you can enjoy swimming and having a picnic. <\/p>\n

Would you prefer a quiet spot away from the crowds? Along the roads surrounding the lake, you will find several small paths leading to hidden beaches. Near Restaurante El Mirador, for example, a walking trail takes you down to the water. From the restaurant, you can also enjoy stunning views over the lake while sampling traditional Andalusian dishes. <\/p>\n
Further along the route, you will also find several spots where steps and paths lead down to the water. Here, you can often swim in peace and enjoy the surrounding nature. <\/p>\n

Lake Ardales is not only a popular place for swimming. During the summer, you can also: Pedal boats with a slide are especially popular with families with children. As you venture further out onto the lake, you may notice some currents in certain areas. Keep this in mind and make sure you save enough energy for the return trip. <\/p>\n During the summer months of July and August, a large inflatable obstacle or Wipeout-style course is often set up on the lake.
