Finding a nice winter holiday home in Andalusia can sometimes be a search. Not all houses are available or have heating and some are just not that cosy. Search no further. Casa Carmen at Finca Las Nuevas is what you are looking for.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nice winter holiday home with wood stove<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Finca Las Nuevas is a more than a hundred years old olive farmhouse in the hills northwest of M\u00e1laga. There are three other holiday homes in the main house and a studio in the garden. The airport, beach and town are a 40-minute drive away.<\/p>\n

Casa Carmen is a pleasant winter holiday home. It is the largest holiday home at Finca Las Nuevas and can accommodate up to 5 people. There are two living rooms so you have plenty of space. In addition to electrical heating in the largest living room, there is also a wood stove for some extra cosiness. The spacious kitchen has a large fridge with a large freezer compartment. There is also a microwave, oven and dishwasher. The holiday home is fully equipped, so you don’t have to go out every day.<\/p>\n

There are two spacious bedrooms on the upper floor and a fifth bed in the hall. There is also a second toilet here.<\/p>\n

From the house and the large terrace, you have a beautiful view of the garden and the setting sun. In winter you can sometimes see snow on the Sierra de las Nieves mountains.<\/p>\n

Holiday home with a past<\/strong><\/h2>\n

As already written, Finca Las Nuevas is a farm with a long history. As you enter the driveway you will immediately see a large circle of cobbled stones on the right. This is an era. In ancient times the grain was dried here.<\/p>\n

In the past, grain was grown on the hills around Finca Las Nuevas. The straw was stored in the barn, which has now been converted into the cosy Casa Sofia.<\/p>\n

The farmers from the area also used to bring their olives to Finca Las Nuevas. In the current living room of Casa Carmen, there was a large olive press, where the olives were pressed into oil. Above the bench, a wooden screw still remembers this time.<\/p>\n

Two more amphorae are sunk into the floor in the other living room. These earthenware jars are more than two meters deep and this is where the olive oil was kept. The goats used to be stabled in the current kitchen of Casa Carmen. And the goat pasture was where the communal terrace is now.<\/p>\n

Wellness in Andalusia<\/strong><\/h2>\n

If the pool is a bit too cool in the winter months, you can enjoy the hot tub in the garden. From the hot tub, you have a view of the mountains. From here you also have a beautiful view of the setting sun and later in the evening a fantastic starry sky. If you want, you can cool off in the pool.<\/p>\n
