Comares a beautiful whitewashed mountain village in Andalusia. It is located in the Axarqu\u00eda, an area northeast of M\u00e1laga. This is a nice day trip from Finca Las Nuevas. In the video, we already show you a glimpse of this village.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Comares is the balcony of the Axarqu\u00eda<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The small village is located at an altitude of seven hundred meters above sea level. That is why it is also called the balcony of the Axarqu\u00eda. Although the village is not big, it is worth a visit. Walking route through Comares From V\u00e9lez M\u00e1laga a winding mountain road leads you up to the village of Comares. You pass almond and olive trees. At the end of January, and the beginning of February, the almond trees are blossoming, which makes the route even more beautiful.<\/p>\n

Walking trail in the whitewashed Andalusian mountain village Comares<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In Comares, you can make a walking tour through the village by following ceramic feet. This way you can easily pass all the beautiful places and sights in Comares. The trail takes about an hour. At some points, you have to climb a bit.<\/p>\n

You will enter the village via the Moorish entry gate. This is also the best spot to park your car. Besides Moorish remains, there is also a piece of Roman wall that has also been preserved and a medieval water reservoir can be admired at the very top of the village. The richly decorated cemetery gives a good impression of a typical Spanish cemetery.<\/p>\n

The village has some nice terraces to enjoy the Spanish atmosphere. If you would like to discover more of this area, you will find some longer walks from here. From the village, you can start several signposted walks.<\/p>\n
