Fun activities with children in Andalusia are not hard to find. The area around Finca Las Nuevas is full of them. You’ll find the bigger attractions on the Costa del Sol, but there are also fun things for kids inland. Below we give a few examples. But there is much more to do. Like karting, dolphinarium, museums, zoo and a butterfly garden.

Walking through the water with your shoes

Have you ever walked through a river? This great walk at Barranco Blanco is ideal for hot days. Through a narrow path you walk upstream, but soon you walk into the refreshing cold water to eventually reach a naturally formed lake, where you can have a nice swim. Don’t forget to bring your picnic!

Fun water activities with kids in Andalusia

On the coast, a forty-minute drive from Finca Las Nuevas, there are two water parks. AquaMijas is a fun water park with several slides, a wave pool and a lazy river.

The real daredevils might get their money’s worth at the Aquapark in Torremolinos. This park has more higher slides and steep slopes that you can slide down in a boat.

Swimming in a beautiful lake

Enjoy splashing and splashing in Ardales’ turquoise green reservoirs. How cool is it to take the whole family out on a pedalo with a slide and then float and play in the middle of the lake?

If you want something tougher, renting a canoe or sup board is also great fun. During the summer months, there is also an inflatable course in the water, which is also very popular with the adults.

Climbing through the trees

Super fun is climbing at height among the trees in Marbella. There are different courses from easy to difficult.

You are safely strapped into a harness as you walk from tree to tree over ropes or via a zip line.

Wolf park

Near Antequera, you can watch wolves in their natural habitat at Lobo Park as a wolf is called in Spanish. Some enthusiastic keepers will be happy to tell you more about the wolves and during the full moon, there are special evening tours. Now just hope they don’t turn into werewolves!

El Torcal

Hiking is perhaps an activity that children like best. But they will also enjoy this hike. The nature of the karst stone mountain range El Torcal is super special. The rocks there look like big piles of pancakes balancing on top of each other.

Two hiking routes start from the visitor centre, where you can also get something to eat and drink. A long and a short route. The route is via narrow paths, where you have to climb over large stones here and there. If you are lucky, you might see mountain goats jumping from rock to rock.

The blue village of Júzcar

Once upon a time, this was the Smurf village. Known for the launch of the Smurfs movie. Today, it is a cosy blue village with fun activities for children. You can read more about it in our blog.
