Golfing in Andalusia is ideal. Andalusia has a wonderful climate. With more than 300 days of sunshine a year, it is an Eldorado for golf lovers. Even in winter, you can play golf in the sun. Near Finca Las Nuevas in Málaga province, there is always a golf course nearby.

Golf courses on the Costa del Sol

Golfing in Andalusia is by no means boring. An avid golfer can try out a different course every day, so to speak. There are 52 golf courses in the province of Málaga alone. Most golf courses are located on the Costa del Sol, but there are also several courses in the interior of Andalusia.

Golf courses close to Finca Las Nuevas

Within half an hour’s drive from our holiday homes, you will already find two beautifully landscaped golf courses. We enjoy playing on these courses.

Lauro Golf

This golf course is located between the villages of Alhaurin el Grande and Alhaurin de la Torre. The course is beautifully situated at the foot of the Sierra de Mijas with views of Málaga and the Mediterranean Sea here and there. The course has a rural feel, with beautiful gnarled olive trees lining the fairways.

If you want, you can play golf all day here, as the course has 27 holes! The last 9 holes are a bit more uphill, so if you don’t have a buggy, there is a bit of a climb here from time to time.

Near the golf course, in an old Andalusian cortijo, is a restaurant with a lovely terrace. You can sit there in the sun or the shade under the big old tree.

Alhaurin Golf

Another beautiful golf course not far from Finca Las Nuevas is Alhaurin Golf. This golf course is located inland as well, near the village of Alhaurin el Grande.

The course is also located at the foot of the Sierra de Mijas, which means you have to walk up quite steeply at times, but the views are beautiful. And with the wide variety of typical Mediterranean vegetation, you walk in beautiful surroundings and each hole is different. You will use every club.

The course has eighteen holes. From the restaurant, you have a beautiful view of the hills.

Golf courses on the coast

You can try out a different golf course every day of your holiday. Golf courses on the coast are often surrounded by urbanisations with holiday homes. But even if you don’t stay in these urbanisations, you can often already book a green fee online.

Green fee prices are good to go. he summer months are considered the low season, as temperatures can rise quite a bit in the afternoon.

Parador de Golf, Málaga

The Parador de Golf golf course lets you play golf by the sea. From several fairways, you look out over the Mediterranean. The only downside is that you also have a view of the planes just taking off from the nearby airport.
